Jon Sevel earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester in 1987. He founded CoastTec (formerly CBM) in 1988. CoastTec is now the largest repair center for APC where we service units for some of the largest companies and government agencies in the United States for a fraction of the cost of buying new. CoastTec is the only company authorized to sell certified pre-owned APC UPS and the only company certified to repair them as well.
Jon isn’t just excited about power supplies, he is also passionate about his friends and family. In 2008, Jon co-founded The Maryland Half Marathon that raises money for The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center. Jon stays active. On any given weekend, you can find him on the Pickleball court, riding his bike, taking a Peloton class or walking with his wife and 2 dogs.
