Our Partner
Since 1991, we’ve maintained a partnership with APC by Schneider Electric as their only certified single-phase UPS service center. We are a nimble service arm that APC has leveraged on numerous special projects to help them accomplish their goals. We provide repair, customization, and remanufactured services. When you purchase from us, you know that you are receiving products repaired and tested to APC standards by APC-trained technicians.
Our facility
CoastTec’s 62,000 square feet facility in Carroll County, MD houses more than 18,000 pieces of inventory across 160+ models. Our operational efficiencies allow us to configure and service more units in less time while providing greater logistical flexibility to meet your needs. In the facility, we have machines to help our technicians pick up and move those little UPS units. We have conveyor belts all throughout the facility to help our technicians stay safe and easily get one UPS unit from one station to another.
Our History
Getting an APC UPS refurbished, on the other hand, costs just a little more than replacing the battery, and we do much, much more. Our techs perform over thirty “checks” and reconfigurations to ensure each refurbished UPS that leaves our warehouse is in peak condition, including:

Moves the company to Randallstown, MD.
CoastTec is selected by Edward Jones Financial to manage their fleet of 45,000 units.
Toys R Us chooses CoastTec to manage its UPS fleet.
Sells controlling interest in the company to a venture capital group.
CoastTec launches the CPP program as an efficient and cost-effective way to manage large fleets of UPS.
Adopts the name CoastTec as d/b/a.
Lands Sisters of Mercy as largest hospital customer and Bass Pro Shops.
Earns R2:2013 & RIOS Certifications.
Wins largest single Government account in the history of the company – Edwards AFB.
Sevel family buys back the company from the venture capital group.
Moves to our new facility 62,500 sq.ft. in Eldersburg, MD.
Changes name officially to CoastTec
